Building and Standards Meeting <br />May 20, 2024 <br />Page 2 <br />Jacie Sparks's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, del -no within 30 days or city <br />has right to do so. Also, secure structure within 14 days or city has right to do so. <br />There was discussion amongst the board, the owner and city representatives regarding <br />repairing and remodeling the structure, the fire and zoning of the property. <br />Motion made by Reeves Hayter, seconded by Richard Thompson, to secure structure <br />within 14 days or city has right to do so. Also, to repair structure within 60 days or it <br />will be brought back to the commission. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 <br />C. 510 Bonham; City Block 44-13, Lot 3 <br />Owner: MP Star Investments LLC; 3180,rx.HWY 24 Cooper, TX 75432 <br />Jacie Sparks reported that there has been no contact with the owner. This structure is <br />at the very back of property. It has extensive fire damage, missing windows and is <br />unsecure. <br />Jacie Sparks's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demo within 30 days, or city <br />has right to do so. <br />Motion made by Kim Walker seconded by Brandon Kearney, to follow staff <br />recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 <br />D. 1210 NE I I th; City Block 174-A, Lot PT 2 <br />Owner: Gracie & Arthur Johnson; 1208 14`x' NE, Paris, TX 75460 <br />Jacie Sparks stated that the owner, Mrs. Johnson, spoke with Robert Talley and he <br />instructed her to attend the meeting and provide plans and timelines if she wished to <br />repair the property. The structure has broken windows, deteriorating roof covering, <br />and holes in the roof which is causing the sheetrock to fall. There is also water <br />damage and mold. The siding is splitting due to the foundation damage of the <br />structure. <br />Jacie Sparks's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demo within 30 days, or city <br />has right to do so. <br />There was discussion amongst the board, Mrs. Johnson and Robert Talley regarding <br />the owners plan to repair the structure. <br />Motion made by Reeves Hayter, seconded by Richard Thompson, to repair in 60 days <br />or it will be brought back to the commission. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 <br />
