KAUFMAN <br />PARIS TEXAS 75460 <br />TUESDAY MARCH —12s 2024 <br />Present: Board Members: Greg Kee, Glee Emmite, Tyrone Hayden, William Walker, Seth, <br />Melissa Jones <br />City Representatives: Cheri Bedford, Main Street Manager; <br />Rob Vine, Deputy City Manager; <br />Absent: Board members: Kari Daniel <br />City Representatives: Mayor Reginald Hughes <br />1. Citizen forum: <br />No one presented at citizens forum. <br />2. Review minutes from the February -Chairman: <br />A motion was made to approve the meeting minutes by Villian Walker Motion was seconded by <br />Tyrone Hayden. 6 ayes, 0 nays <br />3. Discussion and possible action on the following Election of Secretary for the board: <br />A motion was made by Glee Emmite to nominate newly -elected member Melissa Jones for the <br />position of secretary. Motion was seconded by William Walker. After learning the secretarial <br />duties, Jones accepted the nomination. Motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />4. Committee Reports, Transforming Strategies, Board Member Review: <br />Cheri Bedford gave a detailed explanation of the Transforming Strategies adopted by the board, <br />specifically targeting due dates and the importance of discussing and starting now in order for <br />projects to be deliverable by due dates. This will also help us fill out the National Main Street <br />report at the end of the year. <br />5. Reports: <br />a. PDA <br />Glee Emmite gave an update on events in downtown- In honor of St. Patrick; Clarksville Street will <br />be closed from the Square to 2nd street for activities. (This is not a PDA sponsored event). Putt <br />Putt Golf event will be 11 am -Spm will be March 23. PDA has purchased 15, 000 pair and is down <br />to 6, 000 pair of eclipse glasses. Stores will be open on Sunday April 7, before the Eclipse, and a <br />commemorative postal cancellation station will be set up for the event. She also noted that Paris <br />Coffee Downtown is the newest PDA member. <br />
