MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />107 EAST KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />THURSDAYMAY .16,2024,5:30 P.M. <br />L The Airport Advisory Board was called to order at 5:30 p.m, by Airport Manager Paul Strahan. <br />Members present: Scott Jackson and Jeffrey Nichols. <br />City Representatives: Councilman Gary Savage, Assistant City Manager Robert Vine, and Airport <br />Manager Paul Strahan <br />2. Citizen's Input. <br />No one spoke during the citizen's forum. <br />3,. Approval of Minutes <br />The May 16, 2024, minutes needed approval, motion made to approve the minutes by Jeffrey <br />Nichols and seconded by Scott Jackson. <br />A. Receive Report from the Airport Manager. <br />e Entry Sign to the Terminal Update <br />Airport received the entry way signs for both the front and rear entrances of the terminal. This <br />project overall was around five months, The airport selected SCS Graphics located here in Paris <br />for the sign and installation. Since the terminal has never had an entry way sign, the airport was <br />able to use the RAMP Grant through TXDOT to get 90/"/o of the total invoice covered. <br />0 Fly β€”In Report <br />Unfortunately the fly β€” in was cancelled due to weather. The airport has tried to have the fly β€” in <br />around April or May before the summer heat sets in but this has been unsuccessful due to weather. <br />Going forward the airport will see if a fly β€” in can be done in September / October time frame. <br />This option will help avoid rain and the summer heat. <br />* Runway Project Update <br />The progression of the runway project is going smoothly. TXDOT projected the project to start on <br />July 5"' but the airport is, going to suggest the project start on July 8"' in order to get the airport <br />through the July 41" weekend. The runway project will consist of the runway receiving new asphalt, <br />the main taxiway receiving a seal coat, the taxiway connectors and main apron will receive a crack <br />seal job. New paint will be the last item to complete the overall project. TXDOT received two bids <br />for the project, bids needed to be submitted to TXDOT by May 801', 2024. TXD0T held a Zoom <br />meeting in Austin, Tx to read the submitted bids. After reading both bids, Ambrozi Contracting <br />won the bid and will be completing all of the work for the project. <br />
