MINUTES OF THE PARIS VISITORS AND CONVENTION COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />September 16, 2024 <br />The Paris Visitors and Convention Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 4:00 p.m. on <br />September 16, 2024, at the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce board room, 8 West Plaza, Paris, TX. <br />Present: Board Members: Brandon Kellum, Ryan Whitaker, Russell Jackson, Sherrie Holbert, Bud Mistry, Trey <br />Glascock, Bryan Hargis, Eric Guillot, Thomas McMonagle, Cody Head, Chadlee Johnston, Chris Kennedy, Lindsey <br />Bounds and Monica Clement. <br />City Representatives: none <br />Absent: Board Members: Brittany Miller, Misty Halcomb and Bradley Hilliard. <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Paul Allen called the meeting to order at 4:OOp.m. <br />2. Citizens' Forum. Welcome new board members, Brandon Kellum, Lindsey Bounds and Chris Kennedy. <br />3. Approve minutes from the meeting of August 2024. A motion to approve was made by Bud Mistry <br />seconded by Cody Head. Motion carried. 11 ayes, 0 nays. <br />4. Receive financialreport from August 2024, by Paul Allen. A motion to approve was made by Eric Guillot <br />seconded by Ryan Whitaker. Motion carried. l l ayes. 0 nays. <br />5. Paul Allen stated that PJC Girls Basketballis bring a tournament here and would take the place of the Paris <br />Basketball tournament. A motion to approve $5000 was made by Eric Guillot seconded by Cody Head. <br />Motion carried. 11 ayes. 0 nays. <br />6. Paul Allen stated that the TMBRA financials were overviewed and $6940 should be paid to Barber Hills for <br />repair and upgrades. A motion to approve $6940 was made by Thomas McMonagle, seconded by Eric <br />Guillot. Motion carried. 11 ayes. 0 nays. <br />7. Becky Semple stated that the Balloon Fest was a success, and we had over 3000 people there. Paris Pair is <br />September 20-21, 2024. <br />8. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, A Motion to adjourn was made by Board Member Ryan Whitaker, seconded <br />by Board Member Eric Guillot. Motion carried, 11 ayes -0 nays.
