Building and Standards Meeting <br />September 16, 2024 <br />Page 2 <br />D, 537 Grand Ave; City of Paris, Block 124, Lot 6 <br />Owner: Pablo Albarran; 11205 Delta Dr., Aubrey, TX 76227 <br />Robert Talley stated that this property had been foreclosed on and the original <br />orders had ceased. The new owner has had it for 6 months. The roof has holes and it <br />is sagging. The structure is unsecure to the natural elements due to the windows not <br />being fully boarded up. There is also foundation damage. <br />There was discussion amongst the board, Robert Talley, and Mr. Pablo Albarran <br />regarding the timeframe Mr. Albarran would need to get bids from contractors and <br />decide to repair or demolish the structure. <br />Robert Talley's Recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demolition within 30 days <br />or city has the right to do so. <br />Motion made by Chris Dux, seconded by Brandon Kearney, to table this until the <br />October meeting. 4-0 <br />E. 205 Grand. City of Paris, Block 23, Lot 5 & 6 <br />Owner: South Main Acquisitions, LLC; PO Box 876, Paris, TX 75461 <br />Robert Talley stated that the structures roof has partially collapsed towards the back <br />of the building. <br />Casey Floyd with Harrison, Walker and Harper was present to speak on behalf of <br />property. He stated that they have gotten in touch with a roofing company for an <br />estimate and have already done an asbestos survey. He stated the collapse was <br />reported to him back in January of 2024 and they should have a timeframe within a <br />couple of weeks to give us. He stated that 90 days should be enough time to get the <br />repairs completed. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, repair within 90 days or this <br />will be brought back to the commission. <br />Motion made by Chris Dux, seconded by Kim Walker, to follow staff <br />recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 <br />
