<br />In this position, Rachel provided technical assistance for the National Flood Insurance
<br />Program. She provided compliance advice to local residents and government officials and "IqJ
<br />communicated insurance and engineering requirements of the National Flood Insurance Pro-
<br />gram. Rachel conducted audits of regulatory programs involving floodplain inspections, reviewed
<br />technical permitting documentation, and delivered technical training and outreach assistance to
<br />local floodplain management, elected officials, and resident. She also performed written and verbal
<br />outreach in Spanish-speaking regions regarding flood risks.

<br />As a Nonpoint-Source Pollution Coordinator, Rachel led meetings for cities and stakeholders of LCRA
<br />Watershed Management Ordinance compliance. She conducted inspections and reviewed plans and
<br />permit applications to verify compliance with nonpoint-source pollution control requirements. Rachel
<br />investigated pollution complaints per the Ordinance, produced technical and non-technical reports, and
<br />created educational materials on nonpoint-source pollution permitting and related issues. She also man-
<br />aged lake -wide lowering per the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Permit.

<br />Rachel performed Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for industrial/commercial clients. She man-
<br />aged environmental regulation reviews on hazardous industrial solid waste management sites. She also
<br />provided on-site consulting services for environmental closure, remediation projects involving under-
<br />ground petroleum storage tank removals, well plugging and abandoning activities, contaminated soil
<br />management, and the construction of a holding pond. Rachel conducted semi-annual groundwater moni-
<br />toring evaluations and assessed corrective actions involving two hazardous waste landfills.

<br />Rachel performed data collection for Austin's urban watershed hydrology projects. She assessed flood-
