Osei Amo-Mensah states that two workshops were held to receive input from residents. <br />Staff provided two exhibits for discussion. The viewpoint was that most of the residents <br />did not want multifamily in the district which was taken into consideration. After <br />deliberation the multifamily that was already existing would be preserved. <br />The public hearing was declared open. Motion carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays. <br />8. Conduct a public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of the City of <br />Paris for a zoning change from a One -Family Dwelling District No. 1 (SF I) to a Multiple - <br />Family Dwelling District No. 1 (MF1) in the Historic District No. 2 (HD -2) on LCAD <br />parcels 16255, 16421, and 16571 for existing multi -family apartments. <br />Osei Amo-Mensah states this is the multi -family aspect of the rezoning for the specific <br />lots with existing multi -family. <br />The public hearing was declared open. Conduct a public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of the City of <br />Paris for a zoning change from a One -Family Dwelling District No. 1 (SF1) to a One - <br />Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF2) for all other properties within the Historic District <br />No. 2 (HD -2) South of Sherman Street to Hearne Street between SW ls{ Street and SE 3rd <br />Street including LCAD parcels 16272, 16276, 16279, 16585, 16583, 16586, 16591, 16592, <br />16595, 16597, 16599, 16601, 16603, and 16604. <br />Osei Amo-Mensah states this is the largest portion of the three as it contains most of the <br />properties discussed regarding Church Street. The Historic District No. 2 would be <br />changed to SF2 which is more appropriate for the district. <br />The public hearing was declared open. Mr. Tucker, 913 S Church Street asked the <br />difference between SF 1 is and SF2 zoning. Chairman Fendley advised that lot size is the <br />primary difference. SF1 zoning is a minimum of 1.5 acres which makes the existing <br />properties nonconforming. The purpose of this request is to make the zoning appropriate <br />for the area to be conforming. <br />With no one else speaking the hearing was declared closed. <br />10.
