MINUTES OF THE PARIS VISITORS AND CONVENTION COUNCIL <br />MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />January 21, 2025 <br />The Paris Visitors and Convention Council of the City of Paris met for a <br />regular session at 4:00 p.m. on January 21, 2025, at the Lamar County Chamber of <br />Commerce board room, 8 West Plaza, Paris, TX. <br />Present: Board Members: Brandon Kellum, Bradley Hilliard, Bud Mistry, <br />Misty Halcomb, Cody Head, Denise Moffitt, Eric Guillot, Thomas McMonagle, <br />Chris Kennedy, Lindsey Bounds, and Anwar Scott. <br />City Representatives: None. <br />Absent: Board Members: Brittany Miller, Monica Clement, Chadlee Johnston <br />and Sherrie Holbert. <br />L Call meeting to order. <br />Paul Allen called the meeting to order at 4:00p.m. <br />2. Citizens' Forum. No one present. <br />3. Approve minutes from the meeting of November 2024. A motion to <br />approve was made by Thomas McMonagle, seconded by Misty Halcomb. Motion <br />carried. 10 ayes, 0 nays. <br />4. Receive financial rep ort from December 2024, by Paul Allen. A motion to <br />approve was made by Eric Guillot seconded by Bradley Hilliard. Motion <br />carried. 10 ayes. 0 nays. <br />5. Discuss and act on funding request for Archers for Christ Tri-State Shootout. <br />Based on the scoring criteria a motion to approve $2300 was made by Chris <br />Kennedy, seconded by Eric Guillot. Motion carried. 10 ayes. O nays. <br />6. Paul Allen stated that he met with Sue Hayes, Pickleball Association and <br />offered to help with some costs for the new pickleball courts. She presented <br />him with two bills for landscaping. The plan is to have tournaments that have <br />overnight stays in the future. A motion to approve $8942.50 out ofnon-hot <br />money was made by Bradley Hilliard, seconded by Cody Head. Eric Guillot <br />and Misty Halcombrecused themselves. Motion carried. 10 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
