EXAS <br />� O' MIC IDEVEILOPM t C � I� OR STI <br />11, f„ x at," -its Reach f rl, igf"'j er <br />Report and Updates by Executive Director Maureen Hammond <br />NW Industrial Park EDA Grant: Ms. Hammond reported that the PEDC has two outstanding <br />reimbursement requests for the EDA Grant of approximately $500,000. She further reported that the <br />grant has approximately $200,000 remaining in contingency funds and that the PEDC has contacted <br />multiple contractors for estimates to install fiber internet lines to the NW Industrial Park and is awaiting <br />a response to the requests. <br />Amazon Last Mile Facility Tour: Ms. Hammond reported that the PEDC was invited to tour the Amazon <br />Last Mile Facility on January 16, 2025. She reported that, during the tour, she was informed that the <br />facility currently employs 100 people internally, as well as 100 delivery drivers. She provided <br />commentary, noting that 200 direct jobs were more than had been anticipated and was a fantastic win <br />for the community of Paris. <br />Lionshead Specialty Tire & Wheel: Ms. Hammond reported that Lionshead received their Certificate of <br />Occupancy in December 2024 and are in compliance with their performance agreement. She reported <br />that the National Property Development Manager, Joe Tinervia, informed her that the facility is <br />currently running production, with a staff of 12 employees and are serving two customers at this time. <br />She noted that Mr. Tinervia offered to give the PEDC a tour of the facility during his next visit. She <br />further noted that Lionshead plans to hold a Grand Opening ceremony, and that a date will be provided <br />in the coming months. <br />TxDOT: Ms. Hammond reported that TxDOT intends to open their new district headquarters during <br />Summer 2025 and has requested that the PEDC assist with planning a Grand Opening ceremony. She <br />added that the Director of Transportation Planning and Development, Dan Perry, would be giving the <br />Board a brief presentation, during either February or March, that would include current and future <br />TxDOT projects. <br />Ms. Hammond opened the floor to questions regarding her report.
