MINUTES OF THE PARIS VISITORS AND CONVENTION COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />February 24, 2025 <br />The Paris Visitors and Convention Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at <br />4:00 p.m. on February 24, 2025, at the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce board room, 8 West <br />Plaza, Paris, TX. <br />Present: Board Members: Brandon Kellum, Monica Clement, Chadlee Johnston, Bradley <br />Hilliard, Bud Mistry, Cody Head, Chase Coleman, Eric Guillot, Thomas McMonagle, Lindsey <br />Bounds, and Anwar Scott. <br />City Representatives: None. <br />Absent: Board Members: Brittany Miller, Misty Halcomb and Sherrie Holbert. <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Chadlee Johnston called the meeting to order at 4:00p.m. <br />2. Citizens' Forum. No one present. <br />3. Approve minutes from the meeting of January 2025. A motion to approve was made by <br />Eric Guillot, seconded by Brad Hilliard. Motion carried. 11 ayes, 0 nays. <br />4. Receive financial report of January 2025, by Chase Coleman. A motion to approve was <br />made by Chase Coleman, seconded by Thomas McMonagle. Motion carried. 11 ayes. 0 <br />nays. <br />5. Discuss and act on funding request for Paris Texas Winefest, April 12th. Based on the <br />scoring criteria a motion to approve $1650 was made by Eric Guillot, seconded by Cody <br />Head, with Thomas McMonagle abstaining. Motion carried. 11 ayes. O nays. <br />6. Discuss and act on funding request from Texas Cup Powerlifting, April 261h. Based on the <br />scoring criteria a motion to approve $1700 was made by Thomas McMonagle, seconded by <br />Bud Mistry. Motion carried. 11 ayes. 0 nays. <br />7. Discuss and act on funding request from Slade Baker Memorial Crawfish Cookoff, May <br />3rd. Based on the scoring criteria a motion to approve $1750 was made by Cody Head, <br />seconded by Eric Guillot. Motion carried. 11 ayes. 0 nays. <br />8. Discuss and act on funding request from Uncle Jesse Fishing Tournament, May 3rd. Based <br />on the scoring criteria a motion to approve $2000 was made by Thomas McMonagle, <br />seconded by Cody Head. Motion carried. 11 ayes. 0 nays. This event will become a line <br />item in the VCC budget in the future. <br />
