Item No. 12 <br />Memorandum <br />TO: Mayor, Mayor Pro -Tem & City Council <br />Rose Beverly, City Manager <br />FROM: Janice Ellis, City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: CHANGES FOR MEETING DATE IN MAY <br />DATE: April 14, 2025 <br />BACKGROUND: Occasionally, the second City Council meeting of May is cancelled or <br />rescheduled, due to a holiday. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: According to the regular meeting schedule, the fourth Monday (May 26) of <br />the month is Memorial Day and a holiday. <br />Option 1: Cancel the May 26 City Council meeting and do not reschedule for another date. There <br />are three meetings already scheduled for June, two of which are regular meetings and one special <br />meeting for board appointments. There will also be additional City Council meetings during the <br />summer months due to the budget cycle. <br />Option 2: Cancel the May 26 City Council meeting and reschedule for May 19. <br />BUDGET: N/A <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends Option 1. <br />
