Regular Council Meeting <br />June 23, 2025 <br />Page 2 <br />Consent,A enda <br />Mayor Pankaj inquired of Council Members if they wished to pull any items from the <br />consent agenda for discussion. There being none, a Motion to approve the consent agenda was <br />made by Council Member Ellis and seconded by Council Member Putnam. Motion carried, 5 <br />ayes — 0 nays. <br />5. Approve minutes from the meeting of May 29, 2025. <br />6. Receive reports and/or minutes from the following boards and commissions: <br />a. Planning & Zoning Commission (4-7-2025) <br />b. Building & Standards Commission (5-19-2025) <br />C. Paris Public Library Advisory Board (1-15-2025, 3-19-2025 & 4-16-2025) <br />d. Main Street Advisory Board (4-8-2025 & 5-13-2025) <br />C. Historic Preservation Commission (4-21-2025) <br />7. Receive April monthly financial report. <br />8. Receive demolition and code enforcement activity reports. <br />9. Approve an agreement with Bryer Compliance for services related to backflow <br />prevention. <br />Re °pular Agenda <br />Mayor Pankaj said they needed to move item 22 up on the agenda. A Motion to move <br />item 22 up on the agenda was made by Council Member Putnam and seconded by Council <br />Member Attebury. Motion carried, 5 ayes — 0 nays. <br />22. Convene into executive session pursuant to: <br />A. Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code, Consultation with Attorney, to <br />receive legal advice from an Attorney about (1) pending or contemplated litigation <br />and/or (2) on matters in which the duty of an attorney to his/her client under the Texas <br />Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflict <br />with this chapter. <br />B. Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code, Consultation with Attorney, to <br />receive legal advice from the City Attorney about (1) pending or contemplated <br />litigation and/or (2) on matters in which the duty of an attorney to her client under <br />the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas <br />clearly conflict with this chapter, to -wit: Paris Regional Medical Center and other <br />matters. <br />
