Item No. 9 <br />Memorandum <br />TO: Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem & City Council <br />Rose Beverly, City Manager <br />FROM: Gene Anderson, Interim Finance Director <br />SUBJECT: 2025 Tax Rate Calculations <br />DATE: August 11, 2025 <br />BACKGROUND: The Texas Property Tax Reform and Transparency Act of 2019, also known as <br />SB2, requires the no -new -revenue and voter -approval tax rates be submitted to the City Council <br />after City staff certifies that the tax rate calculations have been accurately calculated using values <br />from the City's certified appraisal roll. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: The tax rate calculations have been completed and certified as accurate. The <br />calculations are included in your agenda packet along with this agenda memo. <br />BUDGET: N/A <br />RECOMMENDATION: No formal action is required. <br />
