WHEREAS, said 2001 Comprehensive Plan and Future Land Use Plan and said Land Use Plan Definitions were amended and adopted in May, 2008, and, WHEREAS, in October of 2018, the City Council adopted significant revisions to the Comprehensive Plan and the Future Land Use Plan and has since approved minor revisions thereto; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Texas, received a petition for amendments to the Comprehensive Plan and Future Land Use Map for the City of Paris from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Retail (R) for City of Paris Block 259, Lot PT of 14, N. Collegiate Dr. and Pine Mill Rd., on Part of LCAD Parcel No. 18277 (5.97 acres); and WHEREAS, analysis of the existing conditions of the neighborhood supports �uch a change to the Comprehensive Plan and the Future Land Use Map; and WHEREAS, on August 4, 2025, the Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on said proposed amendment after notice and publication as required by law, and, following said hearing, made formal recommendation to th L& City Council in favor of said proposed Comprehensive Plan and Future Land Use May. Amendments; and WHEREAS, on August 25, 2025, after notice and publication as required by law, the City Council of the City of Paris held a public hearing to receive input from 11M. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ThE CITT *F PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance ars- hereby in all things approved and are incorporated herein for all purposes. Section 2. That the Future Land Use Plan Map for City of Paris, Texas shall be amended to change the potential zoning classifications from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Retail (R) for City of Paris Block 259, Lot PT of 14, N. Collegiate Dr. and Pine Mill Rd., on Part of LCAD for parcel No. 18277 (5.97 acres); Section 3. That all provisions of the ordinances of the City of Paris, Texas in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed, and all other wimh-4-f rl--4r��re 'Ovi ffiis ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.
