MINUTES OF THE PARIS VISITORS AND CONVENTION COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />June 16, 2025 <br />The Paris Visitors and Convention Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 4:00 <br />p.m. on June 16, 2025, at the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce board room, 8 West Plaza, Paris, TX. <br />Present: Board Members: Chadlee Johnston, Brandon Kellum, Thomas McMonagle, Eric Guillot, <br />Bradley Hilliard, Anwar Scott, Kristie Hearne, Lindsey Bounds, Denise Moffitt, and Lindsay Thorns. <br />City Representatives: None. <br />Absent: Board Members: Misty Halcomb, Bud Mistry, Monica Clement, Paul Strunc, Cody Head <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Chadlee Johnston called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. <br />2. Citizens' Forum. No one present. <br />3. Approve minutes from the meeting of May 2025. A motion to approve was made by Brad <br />Hilliard, seconded by Eric Guillot. Motion carried. 9 ayes, 0 nays. <br />4. Receive financial report of May 2025, by Denise Moffitt. A motion to approve was made by <br />Thomas McMonagle, seconded by Brandon Kellum. Motion carried. 9 ayes. 0 nays. <br />5. Discuss and act on funding request for Texas ASA Federation State Championship on July 26-27, <br />2025. Based on the scoring criteria a motion to approve $ 2200 was made by Eric Guillot, seconded <br />by Brad Hilliard. Motion carried. 9 ayes. 0 nays. <br />6. Discuss and act on funding request for 66th Paris Rodeo on August 7-9,2025. Based on the scoring <br />criteria a motion to approve $1575 was made by Eric Guillot, seconded by Thomas McMonigle. <br />Motion carried. 9 ayes. 0 nays. <br />7. Discuss and act on funding request for Red River Valley Fair on September 23 -27,2025. Based <br />on the scoring criteria a motion to approve $172 5 was made by Brad Hilliard, secondedby Brandon <br />Kellum. Motion carried. 9 ayes. 0 nays. <br />8. Karen Dougherty stated that the Highway Sale, PTX Con and Car show were all a success. 903 <br />Sun Sets is going strong. <br />9. Paul Allen stated that we have representatives from Paris, Arkansas coming and we will be <br />entertaining them. <br />10. Adjourn. <br />There being no further business, A Motion to adjourn was made by Board Member Eric <br />Guillot, seconded by Board Member Brad Hilliard. Motion carried, 9 ayes — 0 nays. <br />Chadlee Johnston, Chair, adjourned the meeting at 4:10 p.m. <br />
