RESOLUTION NO. 2025-051 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />NOMINATING A PERSON OR PERSONS TO SERVE ON THE BOARD OF THE <br />LAMAR COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT FOR A TERM OF OFFICE OF TWO <br />YEARS BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2026; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT- AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIV�E <br />DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Texas Property Tax Code allows tax Jurisdictions to nominate up to <br />five people to serve on the Board of the Lamar County Appraisal District for a term of office <br />of two years beginning January 1, 2026; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris, Texas desires to nominate a person or persons to said <br />Board- and <br />y <br />WHEREAS, said tax unit recognizes to importance of cost-effective operations of the <br />Appraisal District. <br />NOW, THEREFOREp BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1.
