Item No. 22 <br />Memorandum <br />TO: Mayor, Mayor Pro -Tern, and City Council <br />Rose Beverly, City Manager <br />FROM: Gene Anderson, Interim Finance Director <br />SUBJECT: 2024-25 YEAR END BUDGET AMENDMENTS <br />DATE: October 27, 2025 <br />This annual year end "housekeeping" ordinance increases certain general fund departmental <br />budgets to cover expenditures. These increases are mostly offset by decreasing other general fund <br />departmental budgets which have an appropriation surplus. However, the 2024-25 budget is <br />increasing by $218,656 to cover anticipated expenses. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: <br />An ordinance has been prepared that authorizes the Finance Director to make the necessary budget <br />amendments. <br />BUDGET: N/A <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Motion to approve an ordinance amending the Fiscal Year 2024-25 budget. <br />
