Regular Council Meeting October 27, 2025 Page 4 City Planner Osei Amo-Mensah said the applicants were seeking an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan from Low Density Residential on a portion of the lot to Retail for Future Land Use Map of the property. He reported that the Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended approval of this request. Mayor Pankaj opened the public hearing and asked for anyone wishing to speak about this item, to please come forward. With no one speaking, Mayor Pankaj closed the public hearing. A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Putnam and seconded by Council Member Attebury. Motion carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays. 18. Discuss, conduct a public hearing and act on ORDINANCE NO. 2025-020: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED TO CHANGE THE ZONING FOR CITY OF PARIS BLOCK 44, LOT 2, LCAD PARCEL NO. 14044, LOCATED AT 650 BONHAM ROAD, FROM GENERAL RETAIL (GR) T`O A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C); PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, A SAVINGS CLAUSE, A PENALTY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Amo-Mensah said the applicants were seeking a zoning change from a General Retail to Commercial District, rezoning the entire property to commercial use. He also said the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of this change. Discuss, conduct a public hearing and act on ORDINANCE NO. 2025-021: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED TO CHANGE THE ZONING FOR SPRINGLAKE ADDITION,_ BLOCK 8, LOT 2-A AND 3, LCAD PARCEL NO. 19801, LOCATED AT 257 N.E. 28 rx STREET, FROM PLANNED DEVELOPMENT (PD) TO GENERAL RETAIL (GR); PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, A SAVINGS CLAUSE, A PENALTY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Amo-Mensah said the owner was seeking a zoning change from Planned Development to General Retail for the purpose of construction of three retail stores. He also said the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of this change.
