Building and Standards Meeting <br />September 15, 2025 <br />Page 2 <br />D. 435 NE 6th, City of Paris Block 61, Lot 23 <br />Owner: Gracie Johnson & Lawanda Gomez; 1208 14th NE, Paris, TX 75460 <br />Robert Talley stated there is a person living in a camper on the vacant lot, outside <br />storage, junk and rubbish including, but not limited to: paint cans, buckets, and <br />cardboard scattered throughout the property. There is also a tent that a person is <br />staying in. <br />Glenn Maxey was present to speak about his belongings located on this property. <br />He is currently purchasing the land in the form of a payment plans between him <br />and the property owners. He recently got out of prison and is on disability as well. <br />Currently he lives in the tent and is fixing the camper up to live in as well. He has <br />requested an extension to fix the camper and clean this property up. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, Removal of special <br />vehicle, junk and rubbish, and outside storage within 30 days, or the city has <br />the right to do so. <br />Motion made by Chris Dux, seconded by Jesse Williams Jr, to follow staff <br />recommendation. Motion carried unanimously with the addition of Plug Clem stating <br />that he wished there was something that could be done to ensure Mr. Maxey's security <br />of the purchase of the property. 5-0 <br />A. 944 E Polk, Gibbons Park Block 4, Lot 4 <br />Owner: Rea Guillermo; 1226 S Peach Tree Mesquite, TX 75149 <br />Robert Talley stated that there has been no contact with the property owner. The <br />structure has rotted wood, foundation damage, leaking roof, holes in the roof, junk <br />and rubbish throughout the structure, and is unsecure. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demolition of structure <br />and removal of junk and rubbish within 30 days, vacate within 30 days or the <br />city has the right to do so. <br />Motion made by Plug Clem, seconded by, Kim Walker, to follow staff <br />recommendation.
