Item No. 10 <br />memorandum <br />TO: Mayor, Mayor Pro -Tem & City Council <br />Rose Beverly, City Manager <br />FROM: <br />M.A. smith, Public Works Director <br />Bill Loranger, Assistant Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: 2026 ANNUAL GROUNDS MAINTENANCE BID <br />DATE: March 23, 2026 <br />BACKGROUND: The City of Paris Public Works Department sent out a request for bids for <br />grounds maintenance per property. This is contracted mowing of City Parks. Bids were for <br />individual properties, benefitting the city with more properties. Per budget allowance, 64.47 acres <br />are recommended to contractors, leaving 186.65 acres for the parks department to maintain. The <br />bid tabulation sheet is attached for details of the bids. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: The City received sealed bids for grounds maintenance on March 4, 2026, <br />and would like to award the bids accordingly. The contract period is April 1, 2026, through March <br />31, 2027. <br />BUDGET: Funding is budgeted in the Parks Department. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Award one bid for 24 properties, for a total of 64.47 acres, to Greens <br />Lawn Service in the amount of $99,970.00 as indicated on the attached bid tabs. <br />
