WHEREAS, in order to effect said closure, it is necessary for the City of Paris to enter
<br />into an Agreement for the Temporary Closure of State Right-of-way Agreement with the
<br />State of Texas, and the form of said agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all
<br />things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />PARIS, TEXAS:
<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in
<br />all things approved and are incorporated herein by reference for all purposes.
<br />Section 2. That the following streets shall be closed on the following dates and
<br />times to allow for the 903 Sunset Concert Series, events that serve a public purpose;
<br />therefore, the temporary closure of said streets for such events be, and the same is hereby,
<br />authorized, subject to final approval of detailed plans by both the Special Events Committee
<br />and the State of Texas:
<br />1. North Plaza (a one block portion of US 82 between) from 8:00 a.m.-11:59 p.m. on June
<br />4,11,18, and 25, 2026.
<br />2. 1St St. NW between Houston St. and Bonham St. from 12:00 p.m. -11:59 p.m. on June 4,
<br />11, 18, and 25, 2026.
<br />3. Bonham St. (US 82) between West Plaza and 2nd St. NW from 12:00 p.m. -11:59 p.m. on
<br />June 4,11,18, and 25, 2026.
<br />4. West Plaza (US 271/St. Hwy 19) between North Plaza to Grand Avenue from 12:00 p.m.
<br />to 11:59 p.m. on June 4,11, 18, and 25, 2026.
<br />S. South Plaza (Grand Avenue) between West Plaza/1st SE and South Main St. (US 271 N)
<br />from 3:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on June 4,11,18, and 25, 2026.
<br />6. South Main St./E. Plaza (US 271N) between North Plaza/Bonham St. and Kaufman St.
<br />from 3:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on June 4, 11,18, and 25, 2026.
<br />7. Clarksville St. (US 271S) between East Plaza/South Main St. and 1St St. SE between 3:00
<br />p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on June 4,11,18, and 25, 2026.
<br />Section 3. That the form of the Agreement for the Temporary Closure of State
<br />Right -of -Way, attached hereto as Exhibit A. be, and the same is hereby, approved.
<br />Section 4. That the Mayor of the City Council be, and he is hereby, authorized and
<br />directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the Agreement for the Temporary Closure
<br />of State Agreement, under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A.
<br />attached hereto.
<br />Section 5. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
