RESOLUTION NO. 2026- 027 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />TEXAS, AWARDING THE BID FOR MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT AUDIT <br />SERVICES FOR THE FISCAL YEARS ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2026, <br />2027, AND 2028. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris duly advertised and solicited bids for municipal <br />government audit services for fiscal years 2026, 2027, and 2028; and <br />WHEREAS, four (4) qualifying proposals were received and evaluated; and <br />WHEREAS, the contract for audit services will be for a three-year term with the option <br />to <br />renew for two additional years; and <br />WHEREAS, Forvis Mazars, LLP submitted the lowest bid. The firm has the <br />qualifications and experience levels that give the Finance Department an increased <br />level of assurance in their ability to properly perform the City's audit services. In <br />addition, the firm comes highly recommended. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS, THAT Forvis Mazars, LLP be awarded the contract for municipal <br />government audit services for Fiscal Years 2026, 2027, and 2028. <br />PASSED and APPROVED by majority vote of the City Council of the City of Paris, <br />Texas, this 27th day of July, 2026. <br />I" Cl) - <br />0 <br />ATTEST: <br />TF0, <br />Joice Ellis, City Clerk <br />Stephanie H.
