1P 1P A A . . 1 • WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission received a request for an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Paris so as to change the zoning from a Commercial (C) District to a Commercial (C) District with a Specific Use Permit (SUP) for a Cottage Industry on LCAD Parcel No. 16081, City of Paris Block 127, PT of Lot 3, located at 120 S.W. 8T" Street; and, WHEREAS, on July 9, 2026 following notice and publication as required by law, the Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on the proposed amendment to the City Zoning Ordinance for a Specific Use Permit (SUP) for a Cottage Industry in a Commercial (C) Zoning District and, following said hearing, made formal recommendation to the City Council to approve the requested specific use permit subject to the following conditions: The property shall conform to Specific Use Permit regulations under Cottage Industry in a Commercial (C) District. 2. The Specific Use Permit shall expire upon cessation of Cottage Industry business use by occupant or the fifth (5t") anniversary of the date of this ordinance, whichever occurs first. 3. Business operations shall follow the regulations and codes under the Certificate of Occupancy issued by Building Department. WHEREAS, on July 27, 2026 following notice and publication as required by law, the City Council of the City of Paris conducted a public hearing on the proposed amendment to the City Zoning Ordinance, and having considered the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission and the testimony and evidence introduced at said public hearing, found and determined that approving the aforesaid specific use permit with the stated conditions would be consistent with the Comprehensive Future Land Use Plan of the City of Paris, consistent with the City Zoning Ordinance, and in the best interests of the public health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City of Paris by a vote of _5 ayes and ()_ nays.
