WHEREAS, on August 19, 2026, following notice and publication as required by law, the Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on the proposed amendments to the City Zoning Ordinance, and following said hearing, made formal recommendation to the City Council to approve the requested amendments; and WHEREAS, on August 24, 2026, following notice and publication as required by law, the City Council of the City of Paris conducted a public hearing on the proposed amendments to the City Zoning Ordinance and the City Code of Ordinances, and having considered the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission and the testimony and evidence introduced at said public hearing, found and determined that approving the aforesaid amendments would be consistent with the City Zoning Ordinance and the City Code of Ordinances, and in the best interests of the public health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City of Paris by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. Findings Incorporated. The findings and recitals set forth above are hereby found to be true and correct and are incorporated into this Ordinance for all purposes. SECTION 2. Section 3-100 Amended — MH District Established. Section 3-100, "Zoning Districts Established," of Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 is amended as follows: (a) The phrase "nineteen (19) zoning districts" is amended to read "twenty (20) zoning districts." (b) The following district is added to the table of zoning districts in its appropriate location: 02=211111100 MH Manufactured Housing District SECTION 3. Manufactured Homes (MH) Zoning District Regulations: Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 is hereby amended by adding the following MH Manufactured Housing District regulations. The City Secretary and codifier are authorized to assign the regulations an appropriate permanent section number: MH MANUFACTURED HOUSING DISTRICT (a) Purpose and intent. The MH Manufactured Housing District is established to provide appropriate locations for individual HUD -code manufactured homes on individually platted lots or lawful tracts.
