<br />RESOLUTION NO.
<br />
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
<br />APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. ONE TO CONTRACT FOR
<br />CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW POLICE AND COURTS FACILITY;
<br />MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
<br />SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 14th day of
<br />March, 2005, in Resolution No. 2005-043, award the contract for Construction, Reconstruction,
<br />and conversion of that structure formerly referred to as the DARCO building to a new police,
<br />court, and jail facility, to Harrison, Walker, & Harper; and"
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Architect, Brinkley Sargent Architects, Inc., recommends the
<br />amendment of the contract for said project to implement the changes described in Exhibit A
<br />attached hereto, and providing for a net increase of$55,050.35 in the contract price, for a total
<br />contract price of$3,932,185.35; and,
<br />
<br />.' WHEREAS, the form of Change Order No. One, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should,
<br />in all things, be approved, and the Mayor of the City of Paris, should be authorized to execute
<br />the same; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br />Section 1. That the fmdings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in
<br />all things approved.
<br />
<br />Section 2. That the form of Change Order No. One to the Contract for the
<br />construction, reconstruction, and conversion of that structure formerly referred to as the
<br />DARCO building to a new police, court, and jail facility, attached hereto as Exhibit A, to
<br />implement the changes described in said Exhibit A attached hereto, and providing for a net
<br />increase of$55,050.35 in the contract price, for a total contract price of$3,932,185.35, be, and
<br />the same is hereby, approved.
<br />
<br />Section 3. That the Mayor of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby, authorized and
<br />directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, said Change Order No. One, upon the terms
<br />and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
<br />
<br />Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of passage.
