Ha . <br />State Registrar <br />Texas Vital Statisti <br /> <br />NOV 1 8 2005 <br />C!!y. of Paris <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Fee Increases <br /> <br />The Texas Department of State Health Services has officially amended Texas Administrative Code <br />Title 25 Chapter 181 chaIlging the fee Texas Vital Statistics charges for the following search and <br />issuance of vital records: <br /> <br />Birth search and certificate <br />Heirloom birth certificate <br />Death search and first certificate <br />Additional death certificates ordered at the same time <br />Marriage and Divorce search and verification <br />Commemorative wedding certificate (new product) <br /> <br />$22.00 each <br />$60.00 each <br />$20.00 <br />$3.00 each <br />$20.00 <br />$60.00 <br /> <br />The new fees become effective December 1,2005. As required by Texas Health and Safety Code <br />Chapter 191.0045 local registrars must charge the same fees as charged by the state office. <br /> <br />Local registrars and county clerks may collect a fee not to exceed $1.00 for the preservation of vital <br />statistics records under Texas Health and Safety Code 191.004(h). This fee is collected by the registrar <br />on the issuance of a vital statistics record.
