<br />DRAFT <br /> <br />F:ALICE\RESWORK\CURRENT\ Pro Rata 4200 St SE Waterline Hrg Res <br />December 5, 2005 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER A <br />REQUEST FOR WATER SERVICE TO THE AREA ALONG A <br />PORTION OF 42ND STREET S.E., A PRIVATE ROAD, BEGINNING <br />AT OLD CLARKSVILLE STREET AND ENDING ON THE NORTH <br />SIDE OF HIGHWAY 271 SOUTH, WHICH COULD BE BEST SERVED <br />BY A PRO RATA WATER EXTENSION BEGINNING AT OLD <br />CLARKSVILLE STREET TO AN EXISTING MAIN; MAKING OTHER <br />FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has received a request for water <br />service to the area bounded on the South by Highway 271, on the North by the north <br />boundary line of Lot 2, City Block 347, on the East by private road right-of-way (known <br />as 42nd Street S.E.), City Block 353, and on the West by Lot 2, City Block 347, which <br />could be best served by a pro rata water extension beginning at the north boundary line of <br />said Lot 2 going south approximately 900 feet to the north boundary line of Highway 271, <br />starting in Old Clarksville Road by tying into an existing main, containing approximately <br />1,015 linear feet of8" P.V.c. water main line; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared preliminary plans, specifications and <br />estimates of the total cost of the project attached hereto as Exhibit A; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it would be right and proper to have a public hearing concerning the <br />same at the regular council meeting on January 9, 2006, at which time the City Council <br />will determine whether or not the pro rata project should be had; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby <br />in all things approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. That a public hearing be held by and before the City Council ofthe City <br />of Paris in regular session convened on the 9th day of January, 2006, at 6:00 o'clock p.m., <br />at City Council Chamber at 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas, at which time the matter of a <br />water main pro rata extension from an existing water main in Old Clarksville Road south <br />to the north side of Highway 271 South to an existing water main containing <br />approximately 1,015 linear feet of8" PVC water main line will be considered. <br /> <br />Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. <br /> <br />or 0 <br />
