ORDINANCE NO. 2005-066 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 31-65 OF SAID CODE TO DESIGNATE FOUR-WAY STOP SIGN LOCATIONS AT THE INTERSECTION OF CLARK LANE AND JOHNSON WOODS DRIVE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 1,2006. WHEREAS, the City of Paris Traffic Commission is charged with the responsibility to study and evaluate traffic control devices for use on City streets and roadways; and, WHEREAS, among those traffic control devices evaluated by the Traffic Commission is the placement of stop signs at various intersections throughout the City; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the Traffic Control Map adopted in Paragraph (b) of Section 31-65 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended to include the following four-way stop signs: "Stop - Clark Lane at Johnson Woods Dr., stopping East- and West-bound traffic." "Stop - Johnson Woods Dr. at Clark Lane, stopping North- and South- bound traffic."
