Please attach any additional pages if needed. In addition, please
attach any formal resolutions in support of the proposed project.

Our total cost of this project is $127,583.68 of which $104,083.68 is in the form
of in-kind services. Our in-kind services represent eighty-one point six percent
(81.6%) of the total cost of the project and more than four (4) times the cost of the
80 hp tractor.

Our request for grant funding is in the cost of the 80 hp tractor, which is
$23,500.00.

We started the chipping program in 1991 and began the composting of wood
chips the same year.

The City Council of the City of Paris supports this grant application and this
project, and we shall be sending you a signed resolution to be passed April 13, 1998.

We are sending you a resolution that is pending the April 13, 1998 City Council
Meeting.

We have previously demonstrated a commitment to solid waste practices by
beginning this program in 1991. Also, we have the "Don't Bag It" program, as well
as recycling household appliances and tires through our bulk pick-up program. By
using the new tractor and windrow turner, we shall be able to have mature compost
from wood chips in less than one-half the time.

J

,

7

"

)
