RESOLUTION NO. 90-045 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution No. 88-044 authorize a 15% penalty to be added to the delinquent tax accounts in accordance with Section 33.07 of the Texas Property Tax Code; and, WHEREAS, in order to add the 15% penalty to tax accounts which are delinquent on July 1 of a year, it is necessary for the governing body to direct that the same be added thereto and that the governing body enter into contract with an attorney for the purpose of collection of delinquent tax accounts; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris to engage Thomas E. Hunt, I I I, as de 1 inq uent tax collec t ion attorney using the professions services contract form attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the form of the Professional Service Contract for de 1 inq uen t tax collection, by and between the City of Paris and Thomas E. Hunt, III, dated May 14, 1990, attached hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby approved; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the Professional Service Contract for delinquent tax collection with Thomas E. Hunt, III.
