<br />SI.:CTION 1 <br /> <br />LI;F REPENrI:R AND ACCESSORIr:S <br /> <br />The radio set shall be uesigned and constructed as a highly reliable <br />two way FN duplex continous duty station of proven performance over <br />years of reliable service. It shall consist of a transmitter, receiver, <br />and power supply mounted in a cabinet unit. It shall be capable of <br />operating on sf/ecific frequencies in the 450-470 mhz. band. <br /> <br />The repeater station shall incorporate coded squelch system <br />designed to l'linhlize reception of co-channel communications, nuisance <br />noise and skip interfcrance. <br /> <br />To avoid inadvertent keying of the transmitter for extended periods <br />of time which would result in channel tie-up, an automatic timer <br />shall be included in the radio. The timer shall turn off the transmitter <br />after a preset interval and shall reset automatically by the push to <br />talk circuitry. <br /> <br />A he line sur~e suppressor shall be provi~e~ and installed by the <br />successful bidder. <br /> <br />The repeater shall he installed on the conmrunications tower .9 mile <br />SE of Loop 286 & FM 1497, Paris, Texas. <br /> <br />The repeater must transmit and receive simultaneously. The antenna <br />system shall consist of duplex-capable componcts an band-pass/Lanu <br />reject cavities, intermodulation protection panel, troaJ-Land station <br />antenna with ci~e mount, Hcliax coaxial caLle with connectors, and <br />coaxinl jup.lpers, interconnecting cables an~ tjrounding kits, as <br />enunern tell on tcclmicill spec if iea tions . <br />
