CLEMENTS, JR. <br />GOVERNOR <br /> <br />1990 TEXAS NARCOTICS CONTROL PROGRAM <br /> <br />GRANT APPLICATION FORMS AND INSTRUCTIONS <br /> <br />Under the mandate of the Uniform Grant and Contract Management Act of <br />1981, Texas Civil Statutes Article 4413(32g), specific standards have been <br />developed for the application and administration of grants and contracts. <br />The Act mandates that those standards shall be adhe~d to by state agencies <br />when administering grants or contracts with cIties', counties, or other <br />political subdivisions of the state. <br /> <br />In compliance with the Act, all applications for criminal justice grant funds <br />submitted to the Governor's Office, Criminal Justice Division, must be <br />submitted on the standard grant application forms prescribed by Attachment <br />M of the Uniform Grant and Contract Mana~ement Standards. <br /> <br />One set of those forms (Exhibit M-3) is specifically applicable to criminal <br />justice grants. The forms provide for the inclusion of "other budget <br />information . . . as deemed necessary. 11 For that purpose, the Criminal Justice <br />Division has added budget Narrative Schedules A through G as the suggested <br />format to be followed. <br /> <br />Applicants should follow these instructions in preparing grant application <br />forms. <br /> <br />Revised clanuary 1990 <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />! . r,', <br />
