Arrests and Booking - The booking system prepares a booking document and may be used to
schedule court appearances, prepare census reports, and update the Arrest file. Final disposition
of a case is handled through the Arrest file. This is integrated with the Jail Management Module.

The Arrest file allows any number of charges on each arrest and tracks both pre-and post-
conviction dispositions. It further allows for recording assigned identification from other agencies
(e.g., Court, OBTS, Sheriffs Office, etc.). It maintains both NCIC and Henry fingerprint
classifications.

VCR Reporting - The system produces UCR reports based on date ranges, which means that the
report may also be used as a management tool as well as the government reporting form.
, Optional programs are available which will produce a magnetic tape of UCR data for electronic
submission to the state agency.

UCR reports include the following types:

Return A
Supplement to Return A Side 1
Supplement to Return A Side 2
Arrests for Individuals 18 Years of Age and Over
Arrests for Individuals Under 18 Years of Age
Officer related reports

The standard RMS module contains the National Incident Based Reporting (IDR) capability. This
is modifiable for the individual state reporting requirements based on tables. This facility
provides summary balancing reports as well as the capability to submit the reports either
electronically or by tape.

Description Entry - When it is desired to enter additional detail regarding the description and
features of persons and vehicles, M.O.'s and statistical information, option screens are provided
by the system. These option screens include such descriptive information such as:

Hair Types
Eye Features
Physical Features
Facial Hair
Ears

Scars, Marks, Tracks, Tattoos
Other Subject Features
Vehicle Colors
Vehicle Special Features
M.O. Characteristics

These option lists are tailored by each user agency to fit its needs. Operators simply select the
desired information by placing an "x" by the correct choice. This eliminates the need for coding
and typing information and increases the overall speed and accuracy of the data entry process.

The system also generates similar selecting lists for most fields throughout the system when the
user places a "?" in a coded field.

18
