<br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-178 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 13th day of June, <br />1996, approve the Fire Service Plan for the City of Paris; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Phase II of said Plan is to move the east-side substation to the northeast <br />portion of Loop 286 and to construct another substation near the southeast portion of Loop 286; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 9th day of <br />November, 1998, by motion reflected in the minutes, authorize the commencement of the <br />selection of property for the locations of Fire Station No.2 and Fire Station No.4; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager, Michael E. Malone, should be authorized to continue the <br />selection of property that provides the best coverage for the current and future growth of the City <br />of Paris, taking into consideration properties that are available, first, and condemnation, second, <br />if necessary, and the City Attorney, Scott P. Foster, should be authorized to take necessary steps <br />to procure such property; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the <br />City Manager, Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to continue the <br />selection of property for the locations of Fire Station No. 2 and Fire Station No. 4 that provides <br />the best coverage for the current and future growth of the City of Paris, taking into consideration <br />properties that are available, first, and condemnation, second, if necessary; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Attorney, Scott P. Foster, be, and he is <br />hereby, authorized and directed to take necessary steps to procure such property. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of December, 1998. <br /> <br />~~A-x:( ~ <br /> <br />Charles H.
