<br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-148
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 13th day of July,
<br />1998, in Resolution No. 98-098, authorize an application to be made to the Ark-Tex Council of
<br />Governments, in cooperation with the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission, for the
<br />Municipal Solid Waste Grant Funding for Fiscal Year 1998-1999; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Ark-Tex Council of Governments has issued its Grant Award, entitled,
<br />"Solid Waste Implementation Grant, Contract No. 94310768," for the period beginning October
<br />1, 1998, and ending August 1, 1999, in the total amount of $24,625.00, with the City of Paris
<br />providing $20,098.03 in the form of in-kind services; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of the citizens of Paris that the City
<br />of Paris accept said Grant A ward and continue to improve the waste reduction and recycling
<br />program in the City of Paris; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the form of the "Solid Waste Implementation Grant, Contract No. 9310768,"
<br />attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor, Charles H.
<br />Neeley, should be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
<br />Solid Waste Implementation Grant for the period beginning October 1, 1998, and ending August
<br />1, 1999, in the total amount of $24,625.00, with the City of Paris providing $20,098.03 in the
<br />form of in kind services, be, and the same is hereby, accepted; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the form ofthe "Solid Waste Implementation Grant, Contract No. 94310768,"
<br />attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same is hereby, approved; and,
<br />
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, be, and he is
<br />hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the "Solid Waste
<br />Implementation Grant, Contract No. 94310768," under the terms and conditions and in the form
<br />shown in Exhibit, A attached hereto.
