<br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR <br />CONSULTING SERVICES <br /> <br />COUNTY OF LAMAR <br /> <br />) <br />) <br />) <br /> <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br /> <br />THAT, the CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, a municipal corporation, acting by and <br /> <br />through its Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, duly authorized, hereinafter called CITY, and the PARIS <br /> <br />INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, acting by and through its Director of Compensatory <br /> <br />Education, Marilyn Nolan, duly authorized, hereinafter called PISD, do hereby contract and agree <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />1. CITY agrees to provide the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Program <br />for students in pre-kindergarten through grade 5 on the Givens, Justiss, and Aikin <br />campuses. <br /> <br />2. Such program will be presented for one hundred eighty (180) days throughout the <br />1998-1999 school year, such days to be mutually agreed upon by CITY and PISD. <br /> <br />3. For and in consideration of the services described above, PISD agrees to pay to <br />CITY the sum of Seventeen Thousand Seven Hundred -and no/lOO Dollars <br />($17,700.00). Such sum shall be paid out monthly during the months of <br />September 1998, through May 1999. <br /> <br />4.
