<br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-136 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the several departments of the City of Paris have furnished the list of <br />personal property, attached as Exhibit A to the sales contract attached hereto as Exhibit A, which <br />no longer serves a useful purpose for the City of Paris and its operation, and it would be <br />appropriate that said personal property be declared surplus property; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it would be appropriate to dispose of said surplus property by auction duly <br />advertised and conducted by Reggie McDowra Auctioneer Service, Texas Auctioneer License <br />AUCTNROOOl1499, which firm has heretofore been approved for use by State of Texas agencies; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the form of the Auctioneer Service Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit <br />A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, should be authorized <br />to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the <br />personal property described in Exhibit A to the sales contract attached hereto as Exhibit A be, and <br />the same is hereby, declared to be surplus property of the City of Paris and the same may be <br />disposed of in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of Paris; <br />and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the form of the Auctioneer Service Agreement with <br />Reggie McDowra Auctioneer Service, attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same is hereby, <br />approved; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, be, and he is <br />hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the professional service <br />contract providing for auctioneering services with Reggie McDowra Auctioneer Service, attached <br />hereto as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED on this 14th day of September, 1998. <br /> <br />Charles H.
