<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-045

<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE ROUTINE AIRPORT MAINTENANCE
<br />PROGRAM (RAMP) GRANT; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
<br />GRANT AGREEMENT FOR TxnOT PROJECT NO. AM2006P ARIS;
<br />MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
<br />SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation provides funding for Routine
<br />Airport Maintenance Program (RAMP) grants; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Texas Department ofT ransportation, Aviation Division, has issued its
<br />Grant Award entitled "Grant for Routine Airport Maintenance Program," TxDOT Project No.
<br />AM2006P ARIS, in the total amount of$60,000.00, with the City of Paris providing $30,000.00
<br />in matching funds; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, acceptance of the same requires the execution of a Grant Agreement by and
<br />between the City of Paris and the Texas Department of Transportation, and it is deemed to be
<br />in the best interests of the citizens of Paris that the City of Paris accept said Grant A ward to
<br />make improvements to the pavement, to repaint pavement markings, to improve grading and
<br />drainage, to perform general maintenance, and other miscellaneous activities at Cox Field
<br />Airport; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the form of the Grant Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in
<br />all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; NOW,
<br />THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
<br />things approved.
<br />
<br />Section 2. That the "Grant for Routine Airport Maintenance Program," TxDOT Project
<br />No. AM2006P ARIS, in the total amount of $60,000.00, with the City of Paris providing
<br />$30,000.00 in matching funds, be, and the same is hereby, accepted.
<br />
<br />Section 3. That the form of Grant Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the
<br />same is hereby, approved.
<br />
<br />Section 4. That the Mayor, City Clerk, and Assistant City Attorney be, and they are
<br />hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the Grant Agreement,
<br />under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
