<br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br />MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD <br /> <br />~tember 21, 2005 <br />City Hall Annex <br />150 SE 1st Street <br />3:00 p.m. <br /> <br />A meeting of the members of the Paris Main Street Adv. Board <br />was held Wed. Sept. 21, 2005 at 3 p.m., ln the Aikin <br />Building. Zach Saffle, Chairman, presided. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Linda Suarez Knox, Barbara Wilson, Walt Brown <br />(Alt.), David House, Suzy Harper, Pike Burkhart (Alt.), <br />Jennifer Long <br /> <br />ABSENT: Bailey Gant (Alt.), Renee Harvey (Alt.), Drew Crawford <br /> <br />Zach Saffle called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. <br /> <br />August 24, 2005 minutes were reviewed by board members and a <br />motion was made by Pike Burkhart to approve the minutes as <br />prepared. Suzy Harper seconded and minutes were unanimously <br />approved. <br /> <br />Committee Reports <br />} Organization Committee - Zach Saffle reported that his <br />committee had not met but expressed an interest to focus <br />on Historic Downtown signage placement. Pike Burkhart <br />suggested a meeting with TxDOT officials to discuss the <br />possibility of courtesy signs at the gateways just <br />outside the Paris city limits. He will coordinate and <br />notify Main Street Advisory Board members as well as <br />Chamber of Commerce representatives . Possibility of <br />tapping into hotel/motel tax as funding for signage was <br />also mentioned. <br />} Promotions Committee - Beth Golden reported that her <br />commi ttee had not met but would like to schedule a <br />meeting in November to focus efforts on a Main Street <br />website and new communications tools such as newsletters <br />or emails. <br />} Design Committee - No Report. <br />} Economic Restructuring Committee - No Report. <br /> <br />Page 1 of2 <br /> <br />.--"" '-T" " " <br />
