<br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br />MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD <br /> <br />January 18, 2006 <br />Aikin Building <br />23 East Plaza <br />3:00 p.m. <br /> <br />A meeting of the members of the Paris Main Street Advisory Board was held Wed. January 18, 2006 at <br />3:00 p.m., at the Aikin Building. Beth Golden, Main Street Coordinator, presided. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Barbara Wilson <br />Pike Burkhart <br />David House <br />Suzy Harper <br />Jennifer Long <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Bailey Cant (Alt.) <br />Renee Harvey (Alt.) <br />Zach Saffle (Chairman) <br />Walt Brown <br />Drew Crawford (Alt.) <br />Linda Knox <br /> <br />Beth Golden called the meeting to order at 3:10 p.m. <br /> <br />November 16, 2005 minutes were reviewed by advisory board members and a motion was made by <br />Suzy Harper to approve the minutes as prepared. Pike Burkhart seconded and minutes were <br />unanimously approved. <br /> <br />Committee Reports <br />~ Organization Committee - Numerous meetings are scheduled for <br />January and February regarding new entry way signs and the establishment of directional <br />signage for downtown. Main Street representatives will attend an upcoming meeting to <br />provide input on the design of the new entry way signs. That meeting is scheduled for <br />Monday January 23rd at 1:00 p.m. <br />~ Promotions Committee - A meeting was not held therefore a report was not provided. <br />~ Design Committee - A meeting was not held therefore a report was not provided. <br />~ Economic Restructuring Committee - A meeting was not held therefore a <br />report was not provided. <br /> <br />Election of Officers <br />Barbara Wilson nominated Zach Saffle to serve as chairman of the advisory board, Suzy Harper <br />seconded that motion and the board unanimously approved. Barbara Wilson nominated Jennifer <br />Long to serve as vice-chairman of the board and Suzy Harper seconded that motion and the board <br />unanimously approved. Both Zach Saffle and Jennifer Long accepted their positions. Barbara Wilson <br />made a motion to nominate Beth Golden as secretary of the board. Beth Golden stated that Texas <br />Main Street suggests a member of the advisory board hold the position of secretary opposed to the <br />Main Street manager. At this time there were no other nominations for secretary.
