<br />MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PARIS <br />CITY HALL - COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN <br />PARIS. TEXAS <br />WEDNESDAY. APRIL 12. 2006 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br /> <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting today is a continuation of the <br />meeting posted for Wednesday, April 12, 2006, and was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 12:00 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Paul Denney <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Alternates: Becki Norment <br />Brian Wear <br /> <br />The following members were absent: <br />Jerry Raper <br />Ann Rogers, Secretary <br />Claudia Hunt <br /> <br />Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer, and Bethany <br />Golden, Main Street Coordinator/Asst. HPO. <br /> <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (February 27, 2006; March 8, <br />2006; March 13, 2006; March 14, 2006) Motion was made by Paul Denney, <br />seconded by Sue Lancaster. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />3. Public hearing on the application for a demolition permit by Clifton Fendley <br />for the structure located at 22 and 24 W. Brame Street. Lisa Wright said that <br />if the structure remains as it is, it will probably be a future demolition project <br />for Code Enforcement. Arvin Starrett stated that, according to the attachment <br />on this agenda item, the estimated cost for the rehabilitation of this property <br />is $45-$65 per square foot, estimated cost for repair would be in excess of <br />$50,000, and the value of the home is currently around $15,000. The house is <br />not of historic character. No one was present to speak for or against the <br />application, and the public hearing was closed. <br /> <br />r- . <br />
