<br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PARIS <br />CITY HALL - COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, APRIL 24, 2006 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br /> <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 4:00 P.M. <br /> <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Paul Denney <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Alternate: Brian Wear <br />Becki Norment (4:05 p.m.) <br /> <br />The following members were absent: <br />Jerry Raper <br />Ann Rogers, Secretary <br />Claudia Hunt <br /> <br />Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer, and Bethany <br />Golden, Main Street Coordinator/Asst. HPO. <br /> <br />2. A. 643 Church Street - Trey Elliott. Trey Elliott said that there are porch <br />structures added to the front of the house that he would like to remove <br />to make the house more historic. Motion was made to approve the COA <br />by Paul Denney, seconded by Sue Lancaster. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />B. 309 Church Street - Central Presbyterian Day School, by Flo Brunette. <br />Flo Brunette said that they are requesting to put a 4 x 4 sign on the <br />north side of the building. On the east side there will be a more <br />whimsical sign. Motion was made to approve the COA by Sue <br />Lancaster, seconded by Brian Wear. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />Becki Norment arrived at 4:05 p.m. <br /> <br />3. Request items for future agendas. None <br /> <br />4.
