B. 5010 Lamar Avenue; Tract 10, J. Moore Survey Bob Skidmore stated that he did not know the structure was in the city limits. He will tear the house down. Motion was made by Chad Brown, seconded by Ryan Lassiter for the property to be demolished within 30 days with a $1,000 per day civil penalty, and if the property is not demolished within the 30 daytime period, the City will demolish. Motion carried unanimously. C. 25 31st Street SE; Lot 1, City Block 285 Motion was made to recuse Zach Saffle by Chad Brown, seconded by Mary Crumpler. Motion carried unanimously. Chris Brown made a motion, seconded by Harrell Tippitt that the structure be repaired (broken windows replaced) within 30 days with a $1,000 per day civil penalty, and if the property is not repaired within the 30 day time period, the City will make the repairs. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made for Zach Saffle to return to the meeting by Chris Brown, seconded by Ryan Lassiter. Motion carried unanimously. D. 1274 15th Street SE; Lots 3 & 4, Block 8, Gibbons-Braden Addition Motion was made by Steve Brown, seconded by Chad Brown for the property to be demolished within 30 days with a $1,000 per day civil penalty, and if the property is not demolished within the 30 day time period, the City will demolish. Motion carried unanimously. E. 578 15tb Street SE; Lots 7 & 8-A, City Block 112-C The owners want to tear the structure down but finances are holding them up. They are willing to start on it. The garage is the only part of the structure needing to be tom down since a tree fell through it. The tree was removed but the garage is still falling in. Motion was made to by Chad Brown, seconded by Harrell Tippitt for the property (garage only) to be demolished within 30 days with a $1,000 per day civil penalty, and if the property is not demolished within the 30 day time period, the City will demolish. Motion carried unanimously. 4. Status report related to properties on which the Commission has previously issued orders. Lisa Wright presented the report to the Commission. She advised the Commission that over sixty-five houses have been either demolished by the City or delivered to the contractor for demolition by the City. She also advised that numerous structures have been voluntarily demolished. Lisa Wright advised the Commission that Pike Burkhart is no longer a member of the Building and Standards Commission, therefore, his position is vacant. Also, Greg Wilson has submitted his resignation. She requested that Board members contact her if they wish to recommend someone. She also requested that any alternate wanting to move into a regular slot contact her to make that wish known.
