<br />DRAFT <br /> <br />f:attomeylreswork\current\ Archers for Christ Exercise of Option Res <br />May 17,2006 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE EXERCISE OF OPTION TO EXTEND <br />THE TERMS OF A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PARIS <br />AND ARCHERS FOR CHRIST BY EXTENDING THE TERMS FOR USE OF <br />TRACTS ONE (1) AND SEVEN (7) FOR ADDITIONAL FIVE <br />CONSECUTIVE ONE-YEAR TERMS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 10th day of <br />September, 2001, in Resolution No. 2001-152, authorize the execution of a Lease Agreement <br />with Archers for Christ for the property located at Lake Crook; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 10th day of <br />October, 2002, in Resolution No. 2002-158, authorize the execution of Addendum Number One <br />to said Lease Agreement; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 8th day of <br />November, 2004, in Resolution No. 2004-192 authorize the execution of Addendum Number <br />Two to said Lease Agreement; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is in receipt of an Exercise of Option <br />from Archers for Christ, the form of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A, for an extension of <br />the term of said Lease for use of tracts One (1) and Seven (7) for five (5) consecutive one (1) <br />year terms; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council deems it appropriate to grant the exercise of option to <br />Archers for Christ to extend the use of Areas One (1) and Seven) for five (5) consecutive one <br />(1) year terms beginning October 1, 2006, and ending September 30, 2007, with subsequent one <br />(1) year terms on the anniversary date thereafter, ending September 30, 2011, and the City <br />Manager should be authorized to acknowledge acceptance of said Exercise of Option by signing <br />the same; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS <br />TEXAS:, <br /> <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all <br />things approved. <br /> <br />rOo <br />
