Aikin Building throughout the event. It will serve as a meeting place for board members and
initial starting point for anyone taking the tour. Tickets will also be sold from this site.
A history of each building, renovation before and after pictures and any kind of story board
would be appropriate for the tour. Loft owners were encouraged to gather and share any
information they had with the Main Street Coordinator as soon as possible. This way all the
information can be compiled into a nice uniform format for distribution.
Real kites will be hung from antique light posts downtown prior to the event. Posters will be
hung in merchant's stores selling tickets for the event. Money from ticket sales will be
collected Friday before the event. Tickets will be sold the day of the event from the Aikin
Building. Sandwich boards were suggested for side street lofts or alley entrance lofts so that
the public could easily find their destination.
Proceeds from the event can be used as seed money for future loft tours.
Parking lots will need to be spruced up prior to the event and marked clearly on all maps
distributed for the event.
Loft owners were encouraged to notify the Main Street office as soon as possible regarding
docents. Loft owners will check with family and friends to identify volunteers and then let
Beth Golden know if they need additional volunteers. At least 3 volunteers at each site would
be ideal, 2 upstairs and 1 at the door.
~ Design Committee - Design committee members have participated in gateways meetings as
representatives of Main Street. A new gateway sign will be presented to city and chamber
officials in the very near future. It is an exciting project that will make a huge impact on the
city of Paris.
}- Economic Restructuring Committee - A meeting was not held therefore a report was not
provided.

A motion was made by Pike Burkhart to adjourn and seconded by Casey Rose. The meeting was
adjourned at 4:30 p.m.

Approved this 1~ day of May 2006.

Zach Saffle, Chairman Signature

Page 2 of2

r"
