DRAFT F:ATIORNEY\RESWORK\CURRENT\ Barrow Hay Lease Res 2006 June 2, 2006 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A ONE (1) YEAR HAY LEASE AGREEMENT WITH AN OPTION TO EXTEND FOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL YEARS, WITH LOYD BARROW AND SYBIL BARROW ON CITY OF PARIS PROPERTY KNOWN AS TRACT 1 AND TRACT 2 OF THE WATER TREATMENT LAND APPLICATION SITE CONSISTING OF 205.04 ACRES; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council ofthe City of Paris did heretofore, in Resolution No. 86- 089, on the 8th day of September, 1986, authorize the execution of a Hay Lease Agreement with LOYD BARROW and SYBIL BARROW located on City of Paris property at Lake Gibbons; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris approved an Exercise of option from LOYD BARROW and SYBIL BARROW, for a ten (10) year extension of said Lease effective September 8, 1996; and, WHEREAS, the term of said Lease expires June 30, 2006, and Loyd Barrow and Sybil Barrow have requested a Hay Lease on City of Paris property known as Tract 1 and Tract 2 of the Water Treatment Land Application Site consisting of205.04 acres ofland; and, WHEREAS, the City Council deems it appropriate to enter into a Hay Lease Agreement with LOYD BARROW and SYBIL BARROW for a term of one (1) year with an option to renew after the initial one (1) year term which will expire June 30, 2007, and the Mayor of the City of Paris should be authorized to execute said Hay Lease Agreement in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the Hay Lease Agreement with LOYD BARROW and SYBIL BARROW beginning July 1,2006 and ending June 30, 2007, under the terms and conditions and in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same is hereby approved. Section 3. That the Mayor of the City of Paris be, and he is hereby,authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, of said Hay Lease Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A. r"
