<br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-122 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Texas Child Advocacy Centers provides funding for Child <br />Advocacy Center Grants; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lamar County has received a Child Advocacy Center Grant <br />through the Texas Child Advocacy Centers which benefits the law enforcement <br />community; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said grant requires a commitment of $30,000.00 in matching <br />funds by August 31, 1998; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris files a majority of the cases of child and sexual <br />abuse; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be appropriate for the City of Paris to commit to <br />a portion of the matching funds for this grant in the amount of $10,000.00 and the <br />same should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br />that the commitment of the City of Paris for a portion of the $30,000.00 in matching <br />funds required for the Child Advocacy Center Grant received by Lamar County <br />through the Texas Child Advocacy Centers in the amount of $10,000.00 to benefit the <br />law enforcement community, be and the same is hereby, approved. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of August, 1998. <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />as, Mayor Pro Tem <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Vffim~ ~,~rN'I''-'''''~ <br />Mattie Cunningham, City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />f~ <br /> <br />Scott P.
