<br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-100
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 6th day of
<br />October, 1994, in Resolution No. 94-10 1, authorize the application for a grant to fund
<br />construction for a sedimentation and pollution basin entitled uPLUM STREET 1900 BLOCK
<br />SUR}-'ACE WATER RUNOF}' POLLUTION AND FLOOD MITIGATION PROJECT,"
<br />TXOOT Project No. CSJ 0901-29-905, in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by
<br />HA YTER ENGINEERING, INC., Paris, Texas; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, tile City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 12th day of June,
<br />1995, in Resolution No. 95-051, authorize the execution of the Statewide Transportation
<br />Enhancement Program Agreement with the State of Texas, acting by and through the Texas
<br />Department of Transportation for said project; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 4th day of
<br />December, 1997, in Resolution No. 97-141, accepted and let the bid of Hilliard & Sons
<br />Contractors, Inc., for the construction of said drainage project; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, plans and specifications have been prepared by Earl Smith, City Engineer,
<br />for fencing around said drainage project, which plans and specifications are recommended for
<br />approval by the City Engineer of the City of Paris; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that such plans and specifications be, in all things,
<br />approved and that such fencing project be authorized for advertisement for bids; NOW,
<br />THEREFORE,

<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
<br />plans and specifications for fencing around the uPLUM STREET 1900 BLOCK SURFACE
<br />WATER RUNOFF POLLUTION AND FLOOD MITIGATION PROJECT," TXOOT Project
<br />No. CSJ 0901-29-905, be, and the same are hereby, approved; and,
<br />
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that such fencing project be advertised for bids to be
<br />received after due notice at the office of the City Manager of the City of Paris, City Hall, 135 1st
<br />Street S.E., Paris, Texas 75460, until 3:00 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 1998, at which
<br />time said bids will be opened in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris,
<br />Lamar County, Texas, and said bids will be tabulated and presented to the City Council on the
<br />10th day of August, 1998, for the purpose of making recommendation to award the project to the
<br />lowest bidder.
