<br />I <br /> <br />l'}tOFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS } <br />} <br />COUNTY OF LAMAR } <br /> <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br /> <br />This contract, entered into this 8th day of June, 1998, by and between the City of Paris, <br /> <br />Paris, Texas, a municipal corporation of Lamar County, Texas, hereinafter referred to as CITY, <br /> <br />and Thomas E. Hunt, III, an attorney licensed to practice law by the Stale Bar of Texas, a citizen <br /> <br />of the City of Paris, Lamar County, Texas, hereinafter caned A TIORNEY, wherein the parties <br /> <br />contract and agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. That A TIORNEY agrees to serve as Delinquent Tax Collection Attomey from July <br /> <br />1, 1998, through December 31, 1998, performing those duties in accordance with the Texas <br /> <br />Property Tax Code. <br /> <br />2. That CITY agrees to pay ATTORNEY for his services as Delinquent Tax <br /> <br />Collection Attorney fifteen percent (15 %) of additional penalty assessed against ad valorem taxes <br /> <br />payable to CITY and delinquent on July 1, 1998, and an other attorney fees permitted to be <br /> <br />charged by the Texas Property Tax Code upon which tax suits have been filed. <br /> <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused the contract to be executed this <br /> <br />8th day of June, 1998. <br /> <br />CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS <br /> <br />By: <br /> <br />Charles H.
