<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 9th day of
<br />December, 1996, in Resolution No. 96-139, award the contract for "Wastewater Treatment Plant
<br />Clarifier and Sludge Processing Facilities," Project No. 92- WSRBO 1-96, to Gracon Construction,
<br />Inc.; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Earl Smith, acting as project engineer, recommends the
<br />amendment of the contract for said project as follows: (I) select fill under the clarifier; (2) oil
<br />coolers for the spray field pumps; (3) level sensors for the sludge holding tanks; (4) ball check
<br />valves in the wetwells; (5) plug valve in 4" line to the AT AD building; (6) Pre-AT AD holding
<br />tank level indicator; (7) larger conduit at the wetwells; (8) thermal overloads for the 6 Flygt
<br />pumps; and (9) networking cable for the two AT AD controllers; which provides for a net increase
<br />of $23,097.18 in the contract price, for a total contract price of $3,821,097.18 and a net increase
<br />of contract time of 155 days, for a total contract time of 485 days; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the form of Change Order No. One (I), attached hereto as Exhibit A,
<br />should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, should be authorized to
<br />execute the same; NOW, THERE~'ORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
<br />form of Change Order No. One (l) to the Contract for the "Wastewater Treatment Plant Clarifier
<br />and Sludge Processing Facilities," Project No. 92-WSRBO 1-96, attached hereto as Exhibit A,
<br />which amends the contract as follows: (l) select fill under the clarifier; (2) oil coolers for the
<br />spray field pumps; (3) level sensors for the sludge holding tanks; (4) ball check valves in the
<br />wetwells; (5) plug valve in 4" line to the AT AD building; (6) Pre-AT AD holding tank level
<br />indicator; (7) larger conduit at the wetwells; (8) thermal overloads for the 6 Flygt pumps; and (9)
<br />networking cable for the two ATAD controllers; which provides for a net increase of $23,097.18
<br />in the contract price, for a total contract price of $3,821 ,097.18 and a net increase of contract time
<br />of 155 days, for a total contract time of 485 days, be, and the same is hereby, approved; and,
<br />
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, be, and he is hereby
<br />authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, said Change Order No. One (1),
<br />upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
